I hope that you are having a wonderful summer.
As you are aware, Quest Food Management Services ended the contractual arrangement between its company and our school district at the conclusion of the last school year. As such, the district administrative team has spent the past several weeks preparing a request for proposals, receiving bids, and interviewing potential vendors for a new food service provider.
Last evening, the Butler School District 53 Board of Education awarded the contract to Marla's Lunch for the 2024-2025 school year. Marla's Lunch is a lunch management company that offers hot and cold lunch options from local, familiar restaurants and caterers in our school area. Their company is a full-service offering that handles everything from orders to delivery. Marla's Lunch works with a number of public and private schools around Chicagoland, serving thousands of students and staff daily.
The cost per lunch ranges from $6.50-$10.50 per day per child based upon the options presented from the various lunch vendors. These vendors rotate on a weekly basis and offer quality-driven, healthy food delivered to schools.
Once the district completes the onboarding process with Marla's Lunch a detailed communication will be sent to all families on the new procedures for registering your student(s), viewing menus, ordering timelines, and more.
