Dear D53 Families and Staff:
After the first of the year, Butler School District 53 will be embarking on a Strategic Planning process, with the hope of refocusing our District Strategic Plan in Spring 2024. The District Strategic Plan will be used to guide the district’s direction for the next 5 years.
As a part of this process, a representative Core Stakeholder Team (including Board of Education members, administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, and community members) will be addressing the following questions:
- Why do we exist as a school district—what is the main purpose that we serve?
- What do we value—how do we function (or behave) on a day-to-day basis?
- What is our vision—where is our district headed in the future?
- What are our goals—what are we going to do to get us to our continued vision?
As recommended by the district's strategic planning consultant, Educational Leadership Solutions, the District 53 Board of Education would like to provide an opportunity for you to participate by providing input by completing a survey that will address many of the areas we plan to discuss as a part of the Strategic Planning process.
