Superintendent's Thanksgiving Message - November 21, 2023

Dear D53 Families and Staff:

In the season of gratitude, I am reminded about how grateful I am to be a part of the extraordinary Butler School District 53. There is much to celebrate and be thankful for within our district, including our continuously improved physical infrastructure, award winning academic programs, creative extracurricular activities, and truly supportive community.

Thank you to our dedicated faculty and staff for their daily innovation, commitment to our students, and always being willing to go the extra mile.

Thank you to our committed parents for their partnership in educating our students, willingness to strengthen our school-home connection, and overall support.

Thank you to our students for showcasing their individual skills, trying their hardest, and participating to their fullest potential.

Thank you to our administrators for their excellent leadership and ability to balance competing demands.

Thank you to our PTO for their unwavering support of our students and teachers, their inventive fundraising efforts, encouragement of our staff, and advocacy for our district.

Thank you to our Board of Education for the tireless efforts and hours of work in making our school district a top-notch educational environment.

Beyond All Limits, I hope that you can enjoy the extended Thanksgiving holiday with your family and friends and/or take some additional time for yourself. We are grateful that you are part of our school district community.

Wishing you a very happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Stay well, be safe!

Dr. Paul O'Malley
