Dear D53 Families and Staff:
Today marks the beginning of the annual celebration of teachers across the nation. We are fortunate to have dedicated, committed, and professional educators in our buildings. These teachers devote their careers to the students in their classrooms, academic excellence and individualized learning. How grateful we are for each and every one of our esteemed teachers and staff members. To our teachers, from all of us within the district, thank you for choosing this profession and dedicating your lives to molding the next generation of leaders.
The theme for this year's annual celebration is Teachers Drive the Future. Within our school district, our teachers are truly driving the future by inspiring and guiding our students to be future innovators, leaders, and problem solvers. The skills and knowledge our students are learning in District 53 classrooms is preparing them for a lifetime of future success. We are immensely grateful for the myriad of ways our teachers go above and beyond on a daily basis on behalf of our students. Their tireless efforts and dedication is truly noteworthy and inspiring.
Parents, as you interact with our teachers this week, please pass along your gratitude and appreciation for all that they do for your children. Your words of compassion and encouragement go a tremendous way. Please encourage your children to share their support for their teachers. Together, we can make this week a wonderful celebration.
Finally, thank you for our PTO for coordinating various celebrations and lunches for our teachers and staff throughout the week in recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week. Your partnership is very much appreciated.
