Butler Junior High Named 2021 National Blue Ribbon School

Dear Butler D53 Families and Staff:

It is with much pride and excitement that I announce that Butler Junior High School has been named a National Blue Ribbon School 2021 by the United States Department of Education. What a tremendous honor and so well deserved for our students, families, faculty, staff, and administrators.

I would like to extend my gratitude to Miss Prola and Ms. Zaniewski for their leadership of Butler Junior High School, our talented students who make learning come alive each and every day, our supportive parents who partner with us on the educational journey of their children, and our dedicated faculty and staff who continually strive for excellence in all that they do.

As a district, we are always proud of our school community, but today we are even more proud of how the U.S. Department of Education recognized how District 53 has responded to the COVID-19 pandemic, innovated in light of challenges, and remained focused on individualized student achievement.

Congratulations to all of us on this well-deserved national recognition. We look forward to celebrating with each of you in the very near future.

Stay safe, be well,

Dr. Paul O’Malley

Superintendent of Schools
