Dear Butler School District 53 Families and Staff,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our school community to the newly adopted vision and mission statements for Butler School District 53. I'm grateful to the students, parents, faculty, and staff that contributed to the development of these guiding principles. These statements embody the direction and goals for our school district.
Vision Statement
To foster a community school district where students, teachers, administration, and parents strive to achieve success beyond all limits in learning, relationship building, and self-actualization.
Mission Statement
Butler D53 will provide an evolving, innovative, and inclusive educational experience for all students to achieve academic excellence, social maturity, physical and emotional well-being, and an appreciation for cultural diversity.
In addition to our vision and mission statements, the Board of Education has approved new branding for the district and both schools to match our vision and mission statements. This brand is a result of remaining true to the core of a Brook Forest Dolphin and a Butler Junior High Viking, with a cohesive visual brand identity unifying our school district.
We are thrilled to begin implementing these new vision and mission statements as well as our new brand across our learning environments, electronic communications, and physical campus. You will begin to notice the roll out of the new brand across our digital platforms this summer.
