The District 53 newsletter, Newsline, was recently published and distributed to the Oak Brook District 53 community. It contains news of the appointment of new superintendent Dr. Paul O’Malley, using innovative technology to engage our students and news about the Science Fair at Brookfield Zoo, the Butler Junior High International Day and the alternative/remote learning days. Also featured are Principal Amy Read who was honored as a Golden Apple Finalist for Excellence in Leadership and the process called articulation, where Butler Junior High 8th grade teachers work with Hinsdale Central High School educators to ensure a smooth transition for our 8th graders.
