Beauty and the Beast

Thanks to of the generous community endowment fund created by the Paul Butler family, Butler District 53 families and all Oak Brook residents are invited to attend a performance of Beauty and the Beast at the Drury Lane Theatre.

“Our families really appreciate this opportunity from the Paul Butler Family to share in the arts,” said Superintendent Dr. Heidi Wennstrom. The Butler Endowment performance will be on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Drury Lane Theatre in Oak Brook Terrace.

The musical, for audiences age 5 and up, is based on the beloved Academy Award winning Disney film and nine-time Tony nominated musical. It is the story of Belle, who risks everything to become the heroine of her own story and break a wicked spell imprisoning a castle full of enchanting misfits and a beast.

Oak Brook residents may receive up to four complimentary tickets per household to the performance.  Tickets can be picked up on Wednesday, Dec. 12 from 9 a.m. - noon at the District 53 offices, 2801 York Rd., Oak Brook. They will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. If families are unable to use their tickets, please return them to the District office so that they can be used by another Oak Brook family.
