Fall play "Night at the Museum" a success
The Butler Junior High fall play “Night at the Museum” swept us into a bizarre world of unpredictable moments, ancient spells, historical leaders and wax figures. In the Nov. 4-6 production, students put on an impressive show featuring 30 cast members, 5 stage hands and direction by Butler Junior High teacher Jen Vargocko. In the show, a group of students travel to the Cutully Wax Museum to help it prepare for its grand opening. While there, an ancient spell is uttered aloud and the wax figures come to life and run amuck. The students and staff of the museum quickly search for the answers to their problems while battling the likes of Blackbeard the Pirate, Pancho Villa, Anne Boleyn, King Henry, Calamity Jane and many more. This show was a lot of fun to produce with the students, said Vargocko. “I was impressed by their dedication, teamwork and camaraderie and am proud of each and every one.” She said the students grew as actors and faced surmountable challenges like learning stage fighting and performing on stage with large numbers of cast members.
