D53 Transitions to Remote Learning on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 due to Forecasted Weather Conditions

Dear Butler D53 Families and Staff,

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for DuPage County starting this evening and lasting through most of the day tomorrow. The region is anticipating heavy snow and dangerous travel conditions. Due to the forecasted winter weather for tomorrow, Brook Forest Elementary and Butler Junior High school buildings will be closed on Wednesday, February 2nd to prevent travel to and from school on potentially hazardous road conditions.

All teaching and learning will take place remotely. Start and end times of learning remain the same. This will be a full day of learning. Learning links will be sent by your child’s teacher.

While the buildings will be closed, we will continue to make sure that impactful learning still continues for all of our learners while keeping staff and students safe. This has been and continues to be our priority.

If you have any questions, please contact your building principal.

Stay safe,

Dr. Paul O’Malley
Superintendent of Schools
