Dear Butler D53 Families and Staff,
I hope that you and your families are enjoying your summer! Our summer building and technology upgrades are well underway, making significant progress, and will be fully ready for the beginning of school.
Earlier this week, Dr. Chad Prosen, Principal of Brook Forest Elementary, submitted a letter of resignation to District 53 effective June 30, 2021. We are grateful to Dr. Prosen for his leadership of Brook Forest, his impact on District 53, and his strategic input as part of the administrative team.
The Board of Education will meet on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 6:30 PM to focus on the Board's options for filling the Brook Forest Elementary School Principal position, discussion of the Succession Plan, as well as any other timelines or actions necessary.
Please know that District 53 remains committed to the academic excellence of our students, investment in a high caliber of professionals, and focus on our strategic priorities.
Beyond All Limits, we are fortunate to have a roster of talented administrators on our team who are working together, filling open positions, and making plans for the safe and successful re-opening of school for the 2021-2022 school year.
