Greetings!

On behalf of the Butler District 53 Board of Education and our faculty and staff at Brook Forest Elementary School and Butler Junior High School, welcome to our school community. Our entire educational program works in harmony to meet the academic, emotional and developmental needs of our students. In cooperation with parents and the Butler community, we provide a caring and academically challenging environment which is enriched by our cultural diversity. Our parents are active partners in the education of all of our children and our faculty is as talented and dedicated as one will find anywhere. Our school-home partnership provides a strong foundation for the growth of our children.

Butler is a very, very special place and we welcome your involvement in the most important enterprise in which one can be engaged, the education of our children. Once again, we have been recognized for our academic excellence by SchoolSearch as a Bright Red Apple Award of Excellence winner. In addition, in October 2006, Chicago Magazine identified Brook Forest Elementary School and Butler Junior High School as the top two elementary schools in DuPage County. In November 2006, the U.S. Department of Education awarded Butler Junior High School its highest honor. Butler Junior High School was named a national Blue Ribbon award winner for its outstanding educational program. Congratulations to all!
