Bio:
My career in the teaching profession dates back to the 70's when I
was hired as a 5th grade teacher and as the 5th and 6th grade boys
p.e. teacher! I taught a few more years at the elementary level before
getting my master's degree in guidance and counseling and taking some
time off to start my family. As I went back to work, I continued my
education and received my doctorate in guidance and counseling. I
also fulfilled the requirements to become a licensed marriage and
family therapist.I have worked in this district for over 20 years
as the guidance counselor at both schools. It has been a blessing
to have known and worked with so many wonderful children and families
through the years.
The enthusiasm for education and for giving our best to the students
in this district keeps me excited about this job even to this day.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family
and six grandchildren, travel, read, garden and bike.

Why did you decide to
become a teacher?
I remember my 2nd grade teacher having us draw a picture of what we
wanted to be when we grew up. Even at that time, I wanted to be a
teacher. I have always loved children and feel that they are our greatest
natural resource.
