Yearly, Butler ranks among the top three in the state for its standardized test scores and despite its already stellar marks, continues to grow and improve. It is consistently honored by the state as an Exemplary School and has twice received the prestigious national Blue Ribbon Award, in 2006 and in 2015, one of the few junior highs to do so. It has twice been named the best junior high in DuPage County by Chicago Magazine. On the rigorous PARCC exam, most recently, Butler was one of only 30 schools in Illinois, out of 3,700, that marked readiness scores of 80 percent. Our greatest challenge is ensuring the growth of already high achieving students.
