Mrs. Ellen Wozny

Bio:

My teaching experience started in Glenview in a junior high position where I worked with grades 6-8 in math and language arts. Next, I moved on to Arlington Heights as a K-5 gifted teacher. After three years, I left teaching full-time to spend more time with my two children. Needless to say, I missed the classroom and went back part-time, teaching ESL to adults at Harper College in Palatine.
When the opportunity to go back into elementary education presented itself at Brook Forest, I jumped at the chance!

Education:

Bachelor of Arts in English/Economics University of Notre Dame
Master of Arts in Teaching National Louis University

Why did you decide to become a teacher?

My decision to become a teacher was based on the desire to find a profession which was fulfilling, exciting, dynamic, challenging and rewarding. Teaching fit that need perfectly. I came to teaching a little later than some, but cannot imagine doing anything else.
