Bio: All About Me: Hi, I'm Patti Meyer and I teach second grade at Brook Forest School. I began my teaching career in kindergarten in La Grange Park, then moving to second grade in Tinley Park. I then stayed home while my three daughters were young. I reside in Elmhurst with my husband Brad and our daughters. Sydney is now in third grade; Claire and Tara are in second grade. They all attend Lincoln School in Elmhurst. I am thrilled to have resumed my teaching career in such a wonderful district!
Master's Degree from National Louis University Goal: My goal is to ensure that all students learn to their highest potential in a positive learning atmosphere. Children must feel confident and find school enjoyable and exciting in order to do so. Why Did You Become A Teacher?: I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I remember playing school with my brother in my basement and modeling my teachers' behaviors. This desire remained "in my blood" ever since.
