Ms. Kim Pelletier

Bio:

Hello! My name is Kim Pelletier and I am delighted to teach at Brook Forest. I wasn't always a teacher…I used to have a career as a Human Resources Manager. I wanted a job where my work would last a lifetime so I went back to school to become a teacher. My life hasn't been the same ever since! I now have a challenging career I love!
When I'm not at Brook Forest you can find me coaching gymnastics in LaGrange or spending time with family, and friends.

Education:

Masters in Education - DePaul University
BS Psychology, minor Human Relations - University of Iowa

Goal:

My goal as a teacher is to have children make sense of their world by creating connections to the curriculum through their own life experiences. I believe that when connections such as these are made authentic learning occurs. Students will be successful in and outside the classroom while being respectful and inquisitive citizens.

Why did you decide to become a teacher?

I became a teacher to inspire students to achieve their dreams and to make a difference in the lives of others.
