Mrs. Lynette Griffin

Bio:

Hi! I have been teaching for 10 years, 6 of them here at Brook Forest.

I truly LOVE teaching and feel SO blessed to be doing what I love everyday.I live in Clarendon Hills with my husband, Noel, and my two furry children-Gordie and Tobie. I enjoy weight lifting, swimming, biking and running. I recently "caught the triathlon bug" and completed my first one this past summer. I am currently training for another triathlon and plan on doing a Century Ride with my husband next summer. When I'm not teaching or working out, I can usually be found at our local Starbucks with Gordie, my yellow Lab!

Education:

Master of Science in Teaching- Dominican University
Master of Arts in Advertising-University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Economics-University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Goal:

My goal is to continue to grow as an educator and make a difference in the lives of children at Brook Forest.

Why did you decide to become a teacher?

After working in the business world for a number of years, I knew something was missing. I had always wanted to be a teacher, so I decided to quit my job in marketing research and go back to school to get my teaching degree. This was the BEST decision I have ever made in my life. I truly feel as though teaching is my calling!
