Blue Ribbon Acceptance

Blue Ribbon Acceptance
In Washington D.C. on Nov. 10, Butler Junior High Principal Amy Read and Teacher Jen Janis proudly accepted the National Blue Ribbon plaque on behalf of the Butler school community. The award is the top honor given to a school and one that the junior high also received in 2006. Brook Forest Elementary School was a recipient last year. The National Blue Ribbon is a unique honor and rarely awarded a second time. The celebration continues with an all-school presentation and reception at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19 at Butler Junior High. Parents and the school community are invited. “We are eager to continue the celebration with all who have contributed to the many successes of our students along the way,” said Principal Amy Read.
