Jacky Parker

Board Position: President

First Elected: April 2007

Mrs. Parker holds a double major B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California at Berkeley.  She has been employed at FedEx since 1993.  She is currently a Project Engineer.  Her duties primarily involve Forecasting and Budget Analysis.  She also mentors newly hired Engineers.  She is a recipient of a Five Star Chairman’s Award, and an Engineering Foundation Award.
 
Mrs. Parker’s community work has involved being a PTO Member, Math Club Volunteer, Destination Imagination co-manager, and Webmaster to Friends of Butler 53.
 
Mrs. Parker has attended many board of education meetings and is very conversant with PTELL law and its impact to school revenues. Knowledgeable with school budgets (levy timeline, fund types, teacher contracts/step schedules). She has developed and submitted enrollment forecasts (2 years running) to the Butler District 53 Superintendent.
 
Mrs. Parker is married to Harry and they have 2 children in Butler District 53.
