Who are the District 53 gifted and talented? They are students who are creative and enjoy a challenge. They enjoy problem solving and work toward being tomorrow's leaders. They have successfully completed a rigorous identification process that includes the following objective and subjective measures.
Identification
- I. Q. score of 130 or above.
- Achievement scores of 98% or above
- Top quartile score on the Torrence Test of Creativity
- Multiple Teacher Recommendations
Final placement is contingent on an overall analysis of test scores, academic achievement, and daily classroom performance
